BINGHAMTON (WBNG) - The Binghamton Devils are back on the ice Wednesday night in Lehigh Valley. The B-Devils will try to snap a three-game losing skid. Before the team made the trip to Pennsylvania, 12 Sports Director Larry Burneal caught up with B-Devils forward Nick Lappin for the latest edition of B-Devils Sit-down.
As the team-leader in goals with ten this season, how have you been able to find the net so much?
"The first ten games I was able to get some pucks in front of the net." said Binghamton Devils forward Nick Lappin. "I like to score goals in the blue paint area, how they like to describe it. and fortunately got a couple of good bounces to start the season off. Hopefully, I can get back on track here in the next week or so and start getting the puck back in the net."
As a member of the Albany Devils last year, how has the transition been to Binghamton?
"It's been good," said Lappin. "Obviously you come into a new town that you've never been to before, it takes a little bit to get familiar with it, but after being here for a couple of months, you get to know the ins and outs of the town. It's been a really easy transition so far."
You made your AHL debut in the Floyd L. Maines Veterans Memorial Arena, does that make it a special place to you?
"Definitely, my first pro game was here a couple of years ago," said Lappin. "Definitely one of those things that's in the back of my mind that I really appreciate this place and its been a lot of fun so far."
The team results lately haven't been there. What do you guys need to do to get back on track?
"I think we just need to get back to the fundamentals," said Lappin. "Sticking to the game plan when we go into the game. Sticking to that for a full 60. Playing simple, hard hockey. I think if we get back to that for a full 60 minutes we can get back on track."
