BINGHAMTON (WBNG) -- The New York State Liquor Authority has revoked the license for T Mulligans Food & Spirits in Binghamton, according to the mayor's office.

T Mulligans is located at 58 Clinton Street.

According to Binghamton officials, T Mulligans has been the site of criminal activity and neighborhood disturbances for several years. The City says it worked with the property owner and the NYS Liquor Authority to move forward with the Alcoholic Beverage Control Law.

“With law enforcement agencies working together, we were able to address the problems at this location,” Mayor Rich David said in a statement. “I commend Binghamton Police Department officials who worked on this effort over many months and thank the Liquor Authority for reviewing the facts and supporting the City’s position.”

Under state law, T Mulligans cannot be issued another liquor license for two years.

In a news release, the mayor's office wrote, "This action is the latest result from the Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design task force - CPTED - which focuses the City’s enforcement arms to address the physical environments where criminal activity takes place. Participating departments include the Mayor’s Office, Building and Code, Zoning, Police, Fire Marshal and Corporation Counsel."
