Ithaca bank robbed at gunpoint, police release suspect photos

ITHACA (WBNG) -- An Ithaca bank was robbed at gunpoint on Tuesday afternoon, according to police.

Police say around 4:40 p.m., a 5' 10'' black man entered the Tompkins County Trust Company at 775 South Meadow St.

Police say he approached a bank teller with a gun at his side, and demanded money be placed into a white plastic bag he was holding.

The teller met his demands and the man ran away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police say the man had a mask covering his face, was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark blue jeans, and white sneakers. They say he has a soft spoken voice and thin build.
