VESTAL (WBNG) - Thomas Bruce blocked a career-high six shots, five in the first half, and J.C. Show poured in a game-high 16 points to lead Binghamton (6-4) to victory against Army (5-3) Wednesday night inside the Events Center, 71-66. It's Binghamton's fifth straight victory. Tyler Stewart added 12 points off the bench and Timmy Rose scored 10 points in a team-high 38 minutes.
The Bearcats held Army to under 40-percent shooting from the field, blocked seven shots, and outrebounded the Black Knights, 37-30.
"We have TB (Thomas Bruce) in the middle," said Binghamton head coach Tommy Dempsey. "The two's are difficult if we press out on the shooters, which we were able to do the past couple games. We've taken two teams that comfortably score in the 80s every night and held them in the 60s and gave ourselves a chance to win."
Final Score: Binghamton (6-4) - 71, Army (5-3) - 66
Binghamton is back in action Saturday at Loyola University. Game starts at 4 p.m.
