JOHNSON CITY (WBNG) - Johnson City's Vivian Ladd has an ACL injury forcing her to miss her senior season on the basketball court, but it did not stop her from signing her letter of intent on Wednesday to continue her basketball career next season.
Ladd is headed to Division-II Daemen College this fall. The Wildcat was named fifth team all-state and named team MVP as a junior. Ladd said Daemen sticking with her through her knee injury played a huge role in her decision.
"That's pretty big in my mind," said Johnson City senior Vivian Ladd. "The fact that you can go through an injury and (still) want (the player). So, I think it's a big part of why I chose them."
On what she likes about Daemen College:
"I really like the coaches and they were very persuasive," said Ladd. "They just really wanted me to play basketball for them. It's a great campus. I really like them."
Ladd plans on majoring in mathematics at Daemen College.
