BINGHAMTON (WBNG) - Defenseman Dalton Prout cleared waivers on Friday and the New Jersey Devils assigned Prout to Binghamton. The 27 year-old was waived by the Devils on Thursday. He was in his second season with New Jersey.
Prout has played in 242 career NHL games, scoring six goals, adding 30 assists and racking up 306 penalty minutes. Most of his career was spent in Columbus, where he played parts of six seasons with the Blue Jackets.
The Binghamton Devils are back in action Saturday night at 7 p.m. in Bridgeport.
