BINGHAMTON (WBNG) -  A day after defenseman Dalton Prout was assigned to Binghamton, the New Jersey Devils traded Prout to the Calgary Flames in exchange for goalie Eddie Lack. New Jersey reassigned Lack to the Binghamton Devils.

Lack was in his first season with Calgary, but has spent parts of seven seasons in the NHL. The left-handed goalie compiled a 55-53-18 record in his 140 career NHL regular season starts and a 59-48-11 record in his 119 career AHL regular season starts. In 2011, Lack was named to the AHL All-Rookie Team.

The Binghamton Devils return home Sunday night to take on Syracuse at 6:05 p.m.
