JOHNSON CITY (WBNG) -- Johnson City Mayor Greg Deemie was sworn in Monday morning for his second term.
Deemie, a Republican, along with other officials from Johnson City and the town of Union were sworn in at the Johnson City Village Court.
Among his plans for his second term, Deemie says he will focus on continuing the revitalization of the village. He says that includes enabling economic growth, and combating crime.
"Looking forward to the next four years," Deemie said. "A lot of possibilities, a lot of exciting things going to be happening in the village in the next four years. As I said a lot of wheels are in motion a lot of projects hopefully moving forward. We'll see how it goes."
Deemie added plans to restore Johnson City are already progressing.
