BINGHAMTON (WBNG) - Arizona Cardinals defensive end and Endicott native Chandler Jones finished the 2017 season as the NFL sack leader. Jones picked up two sacks on Sunday against Seattle to finish the year with 17. His 17 sacks were two-and-half better than the Jaguars' Calais Campbell and the Cowboys' DeMarcus Lawrence who both finished with 14.5.
It's the first time in Jones' career he has finished a season as the NFL sack leader. 17 is also a career-high for the 27 year-old. His previous best was 12.5, set in 2015 as a member of the New England Patriots. 2017 was Jones' second season with the Arizona Cardinals.
