(WBNG) -- Authorities say heroin was found on a Binghamton man while he was being booked on unrelated charges out of Endicott.
Members of the Broome County Sheriff's Correction Investigation Unit report that 30-year-old Ramel Howard of Binghamton was found to be in possession of half an ounce of heroin.
The drugs were allegedly found during a search of Howard's person on his December 31 booking.
Howard was charged with first-degree promoting prison contraband and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, both felonies.
He was arraigned at the Broome County Sheriff's Office and sent to the Broome County Jail without bail.
