Calvary's Love Church partnering with local group to bring awareness to human trafficking

January is National Human Trafficking Awareness Month and January 11 is Human Trafficking Awareness Day. Calvary's Love Church is partnering with the Crime Victims Assistant Center Safe Harbour Program to educate the community about human trafficking.

The Crime Victim Assistance Center's Safe Harbour Program works with partners across Broome County to promote awareness & identification of youth trafficking, and provides comprehensive services to potential victims of commercial sexual exploitation.

CVAC's Youth Trafficking Task Force includes the following partners:

  • Broome County Department of Social Services
  • Family Planning
  • Life Choices
  • Children's Home of Wyoming Conference

There is also a Safe Harbour: NY program that supports counties throughout the region in developing their capacity to identify youth who have been trafficked, sexually exploited, or are at risk of victimization and to meet identified service needs of these youth.
