(WBNG) -- With the warm temperatures over the past few days, the Binghamton Pond Festival team at Chenango Valley State Park will work through the night to keep building up ice thickness.
As of 2018, the Binghamton Pond Festival is the only outdoor hockey event to feature mechanical refrigeration to help manage weather concerns and help the players play all games.
The crew will be working through the night to make sure the ice is ready to go starting Saturday.
Friday's Family Skate Night would have kicked the weekend off, but organizers told 12 News the rain has canceled that event.
Binghamton Pond Festival will take place Saturday and Sunday beginning at 10 a.m. on both days at Chenango Valley State Park.
There is a $10 suggested parking donation that will be good for the entire weekend.
