BINGHAMTON (WBNG) - Trailing 3-0 in the first period, the B-Devils scored the next five goals unanswered to beat Springfield Friday night on the road, 5-3. Kevin Rooney put Binghamton on the board in the first period with his eight of the season, followed by Michael Kapla a little over a minute later with his second of the year.
Kapla scored again to the start the second period to tie the game at three. A minute later, Nick Lappin's 15th goal of the season gave the B-Devils its first lead of the game. Kevin Rooney's second of the game capped the scoring in the third period as the B-Devils snapped its five-game losing skid.
Final Score: Binghamton (12-21-5-2) - 5, Springfield (19-22-1-1) - 3
Binghamton returns home Saturday night to take on Toronto at 7:05 p.m.
