It's that time of year where everyone wants to stay cozy and warm inside and at home. The Memory Maker Project is holding a Cocoa and Canvas party and art auction to keep you warm when you venture out of the house.
The Memory Maker Project makes art and cultural programs accessible to people living with Alzheimer's and their loved ones in the Southern Tier. At a time in life often marked with sadness, loss and isolation, the Memory Maker Project uses the arts to bring meaning, connection and joy to people living with memory loss and their loved ones.
The art auction will be from 6 to 8 p.m. and will feature work by local artists living with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of memory loss, as well as fine artists. There will also be live jazz music by Strange Fangs Song Factory. Enjoy spiked hot cocoa, mulled wine, soup, appetizers and desserts to keep you warm. A DJ'd dance party featuring music by Post Modern Juke Box will follow from 8 to 10 p.m.
