BINGHAMTON (WBNG) - In this week's edition of B-Devils Sit-down, 12 Sports Director Larry Burneal and Binghamton Devils all-star defenseman Jacob MacDonald chat about his upcoming all-star appearance, Cornell hockey's success and the B-Devils comeback in Springfield.
The AHL All-Star Classic is Sunday and Monday in Utica, what are you most excited for?
"I think I am most excited to meet all the guys from the other teams," said Binghamton Devils defenseman Jacob MacDonald. "A lot of them have been around for a while, and I'm excited to hear their stories and get to know them a bit off the ice."
You played hockey at Cornell University. How cool is it to be around the area while the team is playing so well?
"It's been awesome," said MacDonald. "I went up there yesterday and got to have lunch with some of the guys I played with. It's the last class, they are seniors now and when I was a senior, they were freshman. It's kind of weird for me to go back and see them as the leaders of the team. It's really cool and I'm really happy for that. They've had a great year, so I told yesterday it's great watching them. I'm looking forward to watching them take it all the way."
Friday night in Springfield, the B-Devils scored five in a row to comeback. What was it like being out on the ice?
"It was awesome," said MacDonald. "It was a great feeling. We were down three-nothing and we've been down before and we've battled back, but we haven't necessarily gotten the results that we wanted. To finally break through and take the lead, and hold on to it ,and expand on it, was really a big confidence booster for our guys, (We'll) hopefully take that going forward in stride."
