BINGHAMTON (WBNG) - The North Division, including two Binghamton Devils (Bracken Kearns and Jacob MacDonald), captured the AHL All-Star Challenge Monday night in Utica. C.J. Smith scored the lone goal in the championship round for the North Division against the Pacific Division.

Earlier in the day, the AHL inducted its 2018 Hall of Fame Class. Don Biggs and Glenn Merkosky, two members of the 2018 Hall of Fame class, spent time in Binghamton during their AHL careers and talked about their experience in the Southern Tier.
"Nothing but good memories," said Don Biggs, Binghamton Rangers (1991-93). "Had a great two-year run there. Was able to set personal records, but we just had some great teams. Off the ice, my son was born there."
"It was my first two years pro," said Glenn Merkosky, Binghamton Whalers (1980-82). "I moved to Binghamton and the first year we had a pretty good year and I had a lot to learn obviously. Then, being a young player, we went to the Calder Cup finals the next year with some veterans like Randy MacGregor, Paul Crowley, Kenny Holland."
