BINGHAMTON (WBNG) - In this week's edition of B-Devils Sit-down, Binghamton Devils all-star defenseman Jacob MacDonald returns for the second week in a row. 12 Sports Director Larry Burneal asks him about his must-see goal during the AHL All-Star Classic, how the team is feeling heading into the second half of the season and more on the success of Cornell hockey.
Jacob you had the must-see goal of the All-Star Challenge, how deep into your bag of tricks did you have to go to find that one?
"Not far," said Binghamton Devils defenseman Jacob MacDonald. "I think that one is at the top. I think I made that one up when I was about ten years old."
Was that kind of a Mighty Ducks moment for you? Did you ever try the triple-deke like Charlie Conway?
"No," said MacDonald. "I always try to come up with something new and interesting like that. Luckily it worked."
How many more tricks do you have up your sleeve?
"One or two," said MacDonald.
Very intense practice Thursday, do you feel like the team is ready for the second half?
"Absolutely," said MacDonald. "Guys took advantage of their break and it was nice to get away from the rink, for everyone else except for me and Kearns. I got a couple days away as well. Guys came back fresh, rested. Had a good day today and looking forward to a good weekend as well."
Cornell hockey is the number one team in nation. As an alum, what does that mean to you?
"It's unbelievable," said MacDonald. "I was just looking at their schedule coming up. They have a tough road ahead. They have Clarkson next weekend. They've got a long road, but it's going to be a lot of fun watching them."
