WAVERLY (WBNG) -- Police say a boil water advisory for parts of the village of Waverly has been lifted.
In a post on the Waverly Police Department Facebook page around 12:45 p.m. on Tuesday, officials said the advisory has been canceled.
The advisory was put in place on Friday due to a water main break at the intersection of Waverly Street and Clinton Avenue in the village.
The alert affected several streets in the village, but the area was narrowed on Saturday to only a few streets.
The water main break forced three schools in the village to dismiss early on Friday.
