Fenton Zoning Board votes down compressor station

Posted: Updated:

FENTON (WBNG) - A proposed natural gas compressor station in the Town of Fenton was voted down Tuesday night.

Several months ago, the town building inspector said the site along West Service Road could be used for a trucking terminal. The Town Zoning Board put it to a vote Wednesday night.

It overturned the inspector's determination by a 3-2 vote.

NG Advantage, the company behind the compressor station, is looking at other options.

"NG Advantage is disappointed with the Town of Fenton Zoning Board’s decision. We will review all options before deciding what our next steps will be." said spokesperson Morgan Hook in a statement to 12 News.
