(WBNG) -- Snowfall created a mix of road conditions Wednesday throughout the Southern Tier. 12 News took to the roads to give you a first hand look at the latest conditions.
Our crews saw plows out on the roads clearing many of the main roads. Some cars did had trouble driving around, although many were taking it slow.
Phyllis Gonzales lives on a back road in Endicott and said it's the side roads that were the problem areas.
"When it wasn't too much snow, I went to stop at the stop sign on one of the side streets and kind of slid right through it and I was like, 'Okay, glad nobody was coming,' you know? So it's kind of scary, I'm not a winter driver so, you know, if I can stay home I'll stay home."
Officials warn you to drive slowly, break with plenty of time to avoid skidding, and keep a safe distance away from other drivers.
Broome County Sheriff's Office put Broome County under a No Unnecessary Travel Advisory around 3 p.m. This means you should not be on the roads if you don't have to be, warning some areas might be hazardous for travel.
