Fundraiser raises money to help sick, old, and disabled animals

Posted: Updated:

ENDICOTT (WBNG) -- A pasta dinner fundraiser held at The Sons of Italy on Thursday night will benefit Willows Wings Animal Sanctuary and Rescue. It will help sick, old and disabled animals.

So many showed up, the dinner was sold out.

The fundraising goes toward veterinarian bills and all the necessities to take care of the animals at the sanctuary.

"We're not a typical adoption center with the puppies and the kittens, said Willow Wings' owner, Willow Sullivan. "We are a sanctuary for the "throwaways," ones that have no other options and they come and spend the rest of their lives at my home."

This is the first pasta dinner fundraiser that Willow Wings has done, they are hoping for another event in the fall.
