VESTAL (WBNG) - The Binghamton men's basketball team fell behind quickly against UMBC Thursday night at home, en route to the Bearcats' seventh straight loss, 78-68. UMBC scored the first nine points in the game, shooting better than 50-percent from the floor and 40-percent from three in the first half. Binghamton falls to 1-10 in America East play.

J.C. Show led the way for the Bearcats with 23 points. Thomas Bruce added a double-double with ten points and 12 rebounds. Albert Odero played a career-high 25 minutes, scoring 14 points in the loss.

"We're in this together," said Binghamton junior J.C. Show. "That's what we have to lean on, is each other, in times like this. One thing I'm very proud of my teammates is that we continue to practice hard. We continue to play hard and that's got to be a constant for us. That effort, that attitude and the energy, and if we stick to that things are going to turn around for us. We just got to keep believing, and we got to keep trusting each other and stay together."

Final score: UMBC (17-9, 8-3) - 78, Binghamton (10-16, 1-10) - 68

Binghamton is back in action Thursday, February 15 at home against Stony Brook at 7 p.m.
