SAYRE, Pa. (WBNG) -- Residents at the Sayre Personal Care Center relived some of their childhood memories with the recent snowfall.
Julia Ripley, a personal care assistant at the center, received a special request to play outside from resident Joanne Smith.
"Well it was all Joanne's idea," said Ripley. "She wanted to go out and play in the snow. So we all bundled up and went out and threw snow balls at each other."
Smith said it reminded her of being a child again.
"We had a good time," she said. "We took the snow and we threw it up in the air. We got it in our face and in our hair. We just had a good time."
Smith wasn't the only one who had fun. Arthur Cummings, a resident, was watching with joy through a window.
12 News asked him what was going through his mind as he witnessed all the excitement.
"Well they couldn't put snow on me through the window," said Cummings."
Both Cummings and Smith told 12 News it's an experience they'll never forget.
"I think if we can do it again it would be wonderful," added Smith. "We've got a nice place right out here where we can open that door and walk out there. We can throw snow at one another and throw it up in the air and have a good time."
