Police investigating robbery on Doubleday Street in Binghamton

BINGHAMTON (WBNG) -- Authorities say a cab robbery in Binghamton is not related to another cab robbery in the city currently under investigation.

Binghamton police say a cab was robbed on Doubleday Street Tuesday night.

Detectives told 12 News on Wednesday morning that the robbery stemmed from a personal confrontation in the vehicle, and is not connected to a robbery from the previous week.

Police say the other robbery happened on February 7 at the intersection of Winding Way and Oak Street. Police have listed two suspects in that robbery.

BINGHAMTON (WBNG) -- Binghamton Police said a robbery took place Tuesday night on Doubleday Street in Binghamton.

Our 12 News crew on the scene said they observed officers inspecting a Courtesy Cab Company taxi that was running with the driver's door open.

Our crew also observed someone in an ambulance holding their head, and a person with a hood up in the back of a police van.
