Gallagher leads loaded Binghamton staff into 2018

VESTAL (WBNG) - You can never have too much pitching at any level and the Binghamton Bearcats have it in spades in 2018. Nick Gallagher, the reigning America East pitcher of the year, returns for his junior season. Gallagher had a sparkling 2.67 ERA in 2017 with eight wins. Also returning for the Bearcats, conference starters Jacob Wloczewski and Vestal grad Nick Wegmann. Wloczewski and Wegmann are both seniors this year and with a full rotation at his disposal, head coach Tim Sinicki believes the BU arms will lead the way for the Bearcats this season.

"I can't remember the last time we've had all three conference starters back heading into a season, so that's very comforting," said Binghamton head coach Tim Sinicki. "If those guys just pitch to their abilities, I think we're in great shape there. So, I think this team, at least on paper and how I feel about the personnel, stacks up very well, very favorably, with some of the teams that we've had that have gone on to compete for conference championships, win conference championships and get to the NCAA Tournament."

The road starts Friday night for the Bearcats at Northwestern State University. First pitch scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
