VESTAL (WBNG) - Imani Watkins scored 16 points and Kai Moon recorded a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds in Binghamton's 52-38 victory over Vermont Wednesday inside the Events Center. Moon also had seven assists in the victory. Binghamton has now won three straight games.
Binghamton held Vermont to 38 points on 24.1-percent shooting from the floor and 20-percent from three. Alyssa James blocked six shots and grabbed 11 rebounds in the victory. Binghamton is 13-0 this year when allowing fewer than 60 points.
Imani Watkins is now three points shy of breaking the program's all-time scoring record of 2,024 career points set by Bess Greenberg. She came out of the game against Vermont with a minute left and the game in hand. Binghamton hosts UMass Lowell Saturday at 4 p.m.

"All about playing basketball, the points are going to come," said Binghamton senior guard Imani Watkins. "The same way the have for the past three and half years. It's just playing and being aggressive and just playing team ball."
Cimino on taking Watkins out of the game with a minute left:
"I asked Imani," said Binghamton head coach Linda Cimino. "I said 'Do you want to do this today? Or do you want to wait for your mom to be here on Saturday for senior day and do it in front of your family?' And she wanted to do it in front of her family on Saturday."
