BINGHAMTON (WBNG) - Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson reported to New York Yankees spring training camp in Tampa, Florida on Monday. Wilson wore No. 73 as he worked out at second base and took batting practice with Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton. According to ESPN, Wilson smacked six home runs during his batting practice session.
The Super Bowl Champion quarterback will be at camp with the Yankees for the week, but according to the team, the 29-year-old will not play in any games. Wilson talked about the excitement of hitting with Judge and Stanton, while adding there's a lot from the Yankees culture he hopes to bring back to Seattle with him.
"The thing I am excited about the most is, is really learning about the Yankees and how they have won 27 World Championships," said New York Yankees infielder/Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson. "You think about 27 World Championships, what that takes, the mentality. There's something, there's an aroma around here that I've gotta figure out and I can't wait to find out more about it and use that for my football career as well."
