JOHNSON CITY (WBNG) -- The 7th annual A2A basketball game was held Thursday night in Johnson City.

It's a charity event where the kindergarten through 8th grade staff takes on the high school staff to benefit a local charity.

This year the charity was Traci's Hope to benefit breast cancer awareness.

There were shirts, raffle baskets, donuts and ticket admissions to raise money.

A2A was started by 4 students in Joe Schieve's business class in 2011 for the Greater Binghamton Scholastic Challenge.

Schieve says it gets bigger and bigger each year.

"Every year its kinda getting bigger, so this year we have 22 students involved they are juniors and seniors and most of them are athletes but we have some non athletes because everyone wants to give back. So these are the good stories you want to hear about our community about the kids that are making change. They want action and their making the change they want happen," said Schieve.

Since 2011, A2A has raised approximately $50,000. This year, the group is hoping to raise $10,000.
