FLORIDA (WBNG) -- Tim Tebow and Russell Wilson both saw spring training action in Florida on Friday.
Tim Tebow was the DH and batted clean-up for the Mets against Washington.
Tebow wore No. 83 and went 1-for-3 with a single in the Mets 2-1 loss.
In his first at-bat, the former NFL quarterback struck out on three pitches to Nationals' ace Max Scherzer.
Then he ripped a single for his first hit of the spring, a fifth inning base knock of prospect Erick Fedde.
After the game, Tebow told reporters that he's beginning to feel more comfortable at the plate.

Russell Wilson wore No. 73, paying homage to his high school baseball No. 7 and Seattle Seahawks No. 3.
The Yankees had said previously that Wilson wouldn't see playing time in any spring training games this season, but obviously changed their mind.
Wilson pinch-hit for Aaron Judge in the fifth inning, working a 2-2 count, before striking out swinging against Atlanta's Max Fried.
Wilson went 0-for-1 in the Yankees 5-4 win over the Braves.
