The Rod Serling School of Fine Arts at Binghamton High School presents "Damn Yankees" directed by Ariana Zbrzezny Koniuto.
Damn Yankees is an all-American home run musical about an aging baseball fanatic Joe Boyd who sells his soul to the devil for the chance to lead his favorite team, the Washington Senators to a win over the New York Yankees. Can he lead the Senators to victory and still outsmart the Devil to regain his soul back in time?
The hit Broadway musical with words and music by Richard Adler and Jerry Ross and book by George Abbott and Douglass Wallop, based on Wallop’s book “The Year The Yankees Lost the Pennant”, ran for over 1,000 performances and was made into a popular 1958 Hollywood film. Featuring winning tunes such as ‘Whatever Lola Wants’ and ‘Heart’.
Performances will be at the Binghamton High School Helen Foley Theatre on Friday and Saturday, March 9 and 10 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, March 11 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $8 general admission and $6 for seniors citizens and students. Tickets can be purchased at the door an hour before show.
