DICKINSON (WBNG) -- The Mobile Police Memorial was unveiled at the Broome County Sheriff's office Wednesday.
It was recently in Tioga County and was moved to Broome, where it will be on display for three weeks.
Family members of Sheriff's Deputy Kevin Tarsia were present for the unveiling. Tarsia was killed over 15 years ago in the line of duty. His name, along with 38 others, are on the memorial.
"It's good to know he's still remembered. He's not forgotten. I thought he would be forgotten," said Tarsia's brother Tom Tarsia.
It's a reminder that an officer's job isn't easy.
"Hopefully it doesn't get any longer. I was just looking at the numbers after Kevin," said Tom.
The memorial will be on display in Broome County for the next three weeks.
