ITHACA (WBNG) -- A woman was thrown to the ground and sexually assaulted, but managed to fight the attacker off, run away and call for help, according to the Ithaca Police Department.
The incident happened in the 200 block of Linden Ave. around 10:15 Sunday night.
The suspect is described as a white male between the ages of 20 and 30, average build, light brown hair, and wearing a black coat.
The investigation is ongoing. The Ithaca Police Department was assisted at the scene by the Cornell University Police. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Ithaca Police Department.
