New program allows parents to workout while their kids play nearby

ENDWELL (WBNG) – Balancing a busy schedule and spending time with your kids can be tough, but now there's a new program designed to help.

Family, Fitness, Fun is a new program at Bouncing Monkeys, a children's amusement center in Endwell.

The program allows parents to work out while keeping an eye on their kids as they run around and play.

The session is guided by a personal trainer. The exercises can even be adapted for kids who want to workout with their parents.

"I think it's good for kids to see their parents actually exercising and see that growing up. A lot of kids don't. It promotes a healthy lifestyle, an active lifestyle," said Bouncing Monkeys owner Anthony DeBhillip.

The program costs five dollars and includes a 45-minute workout session plus the regular children's admission.

The program is currently being offered on Mondays throughout March from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
