(WBNG) -- Two people were arrested after a police chase which started in New York ended in Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania, authorities say.
Pennsylvania State Police say a police pursuit began with a vehicle wanted in connection with an armed robbery investigation in Broome County.
State police note they picked up the pursuit when the vehicle crossed into Pennsylvania. A trooper performed a pit maneuver to force the vehicle to spin out on Interstate 81 in Lenox Township, authorities say.
Troopers say a driver, 30-year-old Derrick Svenson, jumped out of the vehicle and ran away, but was arrested shortly after.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, Svenson and the other person in the car, 31-year-old Jenifer Griffith, both from Binghamton, face multiple charges, including drug charges.
12 News has reached out to the Broome County Sheriff's Office for more information on the investigation, but we have not heard back yet.
