HARPURSVILLE (WBNG) -- A year ago on April 15 millions of people across the globe patiently waited for April the giraffe to give birth.
Sunday morning, Animal Adventure Park held a special birthday celebration for Tajiri, April and Oliver's son.
The nearly ten foot tall animal turned one year old today.
The park held a viewing party online and invited people to the park to celebrate.
Tajiri had cake on his big day, as well as lettuce and carrots.
"Certainly a baby giraffe is a big deal for any facility that produces one but the world to be standing by watching and tuning in from birth to first birthday, we never anticipated that," said Animal Adventure Park Owner Jordan Patch.
The park plans to open up to the public on May 16.
