Ponies heat up in the sun, beat Erie 4-2

BINGHAMTON (WBNG) - Jeff McNeil scored the eventual game-winning run for the Binghamton Rumble Ponies on a wild pitch in the fourth inning Saturday afternoon at NYSEG Stadium against the Erie SeaWolves. McNeil tripled before racing home for the Ponies third run of the game, en route to victory, 4-2. Binghamton has now won back-to-back games for the first time since the opening series of the season. 

Levi Michael started the scoring for the Rumble Ponies with his first home run of the season with the Ponies in the third inning. Mickey Jannis threw five-plus innings of two-run baseball in his first start of the season for the Rumble Ponies. 

Tim Tebow finished 0-for-4 with four strikeouts, dropping his average to .214 on the season. 

Final score: Binghamton (6-7) - 4, Erie (5-10) - 2

Binghamton and Erie conclude its three-game series Sunday afternoon at NYSEG Stadium. First pitch at 2:05 p.m.
