VESTAL (WBNG) - The Binghamton University baseball, softball and women's lacrosse teams were all in action on Saturday. The baseball team hosted Albany for a conference doubleheader. The softball team hit the road to UMass Lowell for a doubleheader and the women's lacrosse team was also at UMass Lowell. The women's lacrosse team captured its first America East tournament berth in program history with a victory against UMass Lowell.

Vestal grad Nick Wegmann threw a seven-inning complete game shutout with eight strikeouts in game two for Binghamton. Pat Britt added a two-run home run to score both runs for the Bearcats.
Binghamton (10-21-1, 5-8) and Albany are back at the Bearcats Sports Complex Sunday for a single game at 1 p.m.
Softball - UMass Lowell - 3, Binghamton - 2 (Game One)
UMass Lowell - 2, Binghamton - 0 (Game Two)
Jessica Rutherford went 4-for-4 with a double, a stolen base and a RBI in the first game for the Bearcats.
Binghamton (11-19, 4-5) and UMass Lowell play a single game in Lowell, Massachusetts Sunday at noon.
Women's lacrosse - Binghamton - 12, UMass Lowell - 9
With the victory, the Binghamton women's lacrosse team is headed to the America East tournament for the first time in program history. The Bearcats are 4-2 in conference play and sit in third place in the America East standings.
Brianne Arthur scored five goals in the victory for the Bearcats. Arthur now has 40 goals this season.
Binghamton (7-8, 4-2) closes the regular season at home Saturday, April 28 against New Hampshire at noon.
