Greater Binghamton Sports Hall of Fame inducts Class of 2018

BINGHAMTON (WBNG) - The Greater Binghamton Sports Hall of Fame inducted its Class of 2018 Monday night at the DoubleTree by Hilton. New York Knicks legend Earl "The Pearl" Monroe was the featured speaker for the event.

12 Sports caught up with Binghamton Devils Executive Vice President of Operations Tom Mitchell on his induction night.

"I just cant imagine living anywhere else on the face of the earth than Binghamton," said Mitchell. "It has been good to me. They referred to United States, I'm Canadian, as the land of opportunity. I have heard the Southern Tier be called the valley of opportunity. It certainly has been for me."
