Fisher Cats pedigree a first even for Ponies manager Luis Rojas

Posted: Updated:

BINGHAMTON (WBNG) - The New Hampshire Fisher Cats are powered by a lineup featuring two of the top 15 prospects in baseball according to MLB Pipeline, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (No. 3) and Bo Bichette (No. 13). That doesn't include Cavan Biggio who homered Monday night against the Ponies. All three have major league pedigrees. Vladimir Guerrero Jr.'s father is Vladimir Guerrero. Bo Bichette's is Dante Bichette and Cavan Biggio's is Craig Biggio. Three players on the same minor league team with dad's who made all-star teams in the majors is a first for even Ponies manager Luis Rojas.

"I've never seen that on one roster," said Rumble Ponies manager Luis Rojas. "It's pretty amazing. Just talking to them and seeing how they have fun, you can tell, not to take anything from the other guys, but those guys you can tell they were raised in a clubhouse and the baseball environment. I'm pretty sure they want to accomplish what their families accomplished as well in the past."
