BINGHAMTON (WBNG) -- Champ Stuart ripped a double to lead off the bottom of the ninth inning for the Binghamton Rumble Ponies -- his first hit of the 2018 season -- and later scored the game-winning run when Matt Oberste walked with the bases loaded as the Ponies took down the New Hampshire Fisher Cats 5-4 Wednesday night at NYSEG Stadium.

THEY SAID IT...
"I'm pleased that the guys stayed in the game," said Rumble Ponies manager Luis Rojas. "And Champ Stuart being able to connect a hit until that at-bat leading off the ninth, how huge was that?"
"Champ, hitting that double was huge," said Matt Oberste. "That was his first hit of the year, and Champ is my boy, so I'm glad to see him doing well."
Binghamton heads to Erie this weekend for a three-game series against the SeaWolves. First game is set for Friday night at 6:05 p.m.
