Akron's seven-run fifth ends Ponies winning streak

BINGHAMTON (WBNG) - The Akron RubberDucks scored seven runs in the fifth inning to erase a five-run Binghamton lead, en route to ending the Ponies' four-game winning streak Monday night in Akron, 7-5. Peter Alonso started the scoring in the first inning for Binghamton with a RBI single. By the end of the fourth inning, Binghamton led 5-0. 

Alonso collected two hits in the loss, extending his hitting streak to eight games. 

Tim Tebow finished 1-for-4 with two strikeouts in the loss. 

Final score: Akron (13-10) - 7, Binghamton (11-10) - 5

Binghamton continues its three-game series in Akron Tuesday night at 6:35 p.m.
