BINGHAMTON (WBNG) - Tim Tebow collected three hits, for the second time this season, and his first stolen base as a Binghamton Rumble Ponies, but Portland scored five of the final six runs to beat Binghamton, 5-3. Tebow knocked in the first two Binghamton runs on RBI singles in the second and fourth innings. Portland tied the game in the fifth, before taking the lead with a three-run sixth inning.
Tomas Nido and John Mora each had two hits in the game for Binghamton.
Tebow finished 3-for-4 with two RBI, a strikeout and a stolen base.
Final Score: Portland (31-50) - 5, Binghamton (39-42) - 3
Binghamton and Portland finish its five-game series Tuesday night in Portland. First pitch is set for 6 p.m.
