Nido's late-inning double lifts Ponies behind Dunn's strong outing

BINGHAMTON (WBNG) - Tomas Nido crushed an RBI double in the eighth inning to break a 1-1 tie, scoring Josh Allen, which would eventually be the game-winning run. Justin Dunn pitched into the eighth inning for the Rumble Ponies, finishing with 7.2 innings-pitched, allowing one run, while striking out nine. 

At the plate, Levi Michael, Josh Allen and Joey Terdoslavich all finished with two-hit games for the Ponies. 

Tim Tebow finished 1-for-4 with a single and a strikeout. 

Final Score: Binghamton (40-42) - 2, Portland (31-51) - 1

Binghamton returns home Wednesday for a five-game series against the Erie SeaWolves. First pitch is set for 6:35 p.m.
