VESTAL (WBNG) -- It may be summer, but dozens of Binghamton middle-schoolers are still learning.
The Go Green Institute at Binghamton University brings students inside the world of STEM: science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
For ten days, the children will learn what it takes to create a sustainable living environment.
"They really create their own experience here, and it's really led by them. They're the ones that decide what they get to do the research in. They're the ones that get to decide what project they get to do, and it really gives them the chance to do real life science," Go Green Institute Assistant Director Colin Edwards said Tuesday.
Binghamton University's chemistry department hosts and co-sponsors the Go Green Institute in partnership with the Binghamton City School District.
