Troopers: MDMA, acid, ketamine found when Queens man stopped for speeding on I-81

TOWN OF CHENANGO (WBNG) -- A man from Queens is facing numerous charges following a traffic stop on Interstate 81 in the town of Chenango.

According to New York State Police, 22-year-old Christopher O'Brien was stopped around 3:30 p.m. Monday for speeding.

During their investigation, troopers say they found ketamine, acid, cocaine, MDMA, THC wax, THC oil, and marijuana in the vehicle.

State police say O'Brien was arraigned on the following charges:

  • Two counts, criminal possession of a controlled substance, fifth degree, felony
  • Criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth degree, felony
  • Two counts, criminal possession of a controlled substance, seventh degree, misdemeanor
  • Unlawful possession of marijuana, violation
  • Several traffic tickets

According to troopers, he was sent to the Broome County Jail on $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.
