BARTON (WBNG) -- Authorities were on the scene of a tractor-trailer rollover in Tioga County Tuesday night.
State Police said a tractor-trailer veered to the right off New York State Route 17 West between exits 62 and 61. The trailer flipped on its right side, however the truck remained upright on the grass.
Troopers said the driver was taken by ambulance to Robert Packer Hospital with "bumps and bruises." Authorities are looking into how the truck went off the road. They said the driver was alert after the incident took place.
State Police said the truck was carrying about 4,500 gallons of Benjamin Moore Paint, but none of it leaked. There were no fuel leaks either, however the Department of Conservation and Tioga County Fire Hazmat teams were there as a precaution.
Our 12 News Crew on the scene said a tow truck arrived after 11 p.m.. Troopers told 12 News that the trucking company was a private hauler from Montana.
17 West was down to one lane during the incident, as Waverly/Barton Fire Department and New York State Police assisted in guiding traffic.
Authorities have not said whether or not there were any injuries.
Firefighters on the scene said the tractor-trailer was carrying paint.
