Endicott man sentenced for sexually assaulting young girl

BINGHAMTON (WBNG) -- A local man will spend the next six years in prison after pleading guilty to sexually abusing a child.

Jeremy Hamilton, from Endicott, was sentenced in Broome County Court on Wednesday by Judge Kevin Dooley. Hamilton was handed six years in prison with 20 years of post-release supervision, according to the court.

Hamilton was arrested in October after an investigations in to allegations that he sexually assaulted a nine-year-old girl on multiple occasions.

According to Broome County Court, Hamilton pleaded guilty in March to first-degree criminal sex act.
