BINGHAMTON (WBNG) -- Democratic New York State Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo is running for another term in office.
According to her campaign, Assemblywoman Lupardo is seeking an eighth term in office in November's election.
The Broome County Board of Elections tells 12 News the Lupardo is the only candidate who has filed petitions in the race for the 123rd district, which includes the city of Binghamton and the towns of Union and Vestal.
An elections spokesperson also noted the deadline to file petitions is 5 p.m. Thursday.
“It’s an honor to serve the people of the 123rd District,” Lupardo said in a news release. “I’d like to continue using my years of experience and seniority in the Assembly to help improve the quality of life in our community.”
Assemblywoman Lupardo was first elected to the seat in 2004.
