A gallon of regular gas now costs $4 or more at many Southern Tier gas stations.

Including a Mobil station on the corner of Oakdale Road and Main Street in Johnson City where it costs $4.07 for a gallon of regular gas.

Viewers reported seeing a price of $4.04 in Greene and $4.07 in Windsor.

According to Triple-A, the average price for a gallon of regular gas in the Binghamton area is $3.88.

The good news: that's the lowest in the state.

This comes as oil prices today soared past $130 a barrel for
the first time ever.
