Newark Valley, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A farm owner since 1913, the Stoughton family is known for using their land to create amazing corn mazes.

This is the family's ninth annual maze of maize. They work with a company that helps them design and structure the maze.

The planning starts as soon as the corn goes into the ground. It's planted in May and then once the corn is up, Tim Stoughton can go through and cut pathways.

This year, the maze was designed to honor the family's history and take up eight acres of land.

Depending on the number of times someone gets lost, they could walk more than a mile.

Our Brandi Bailey and Chief Videographer Sam Gaddes took on the maze to see if they could find their way to the finish.
